Will Mellor and Ralf Little are making a third series of Will & Ralf Should Know Better, British Comedy Guide can exclusively reveal.
Four more hour-long episodes of the travelogue have been ordered by the U&Dave channel to air next year.
The pair will be joining a female punk band, learning self-defence, attempting the deepest sleep in the world, experiencing flood rescue training and mastering the art of erotic writing among other adventures.
With Mellor having turned 50 this year, the Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps stars will be examining what has shaped them, how they’re changing and what continues to connect them after two decades of friendship, as well as how close friends can perceive the world differently.
“I’m absolutely buzzing to be making a third series!” said Mellor. “Turning 50 has definitely got me thinking a bit more about who I am and where I’m heading, so it feels like the right me for me and Ralf to take a closer look at how we’re wired. Whether we actually find any answers is another matter, but I know we’ll have a laugh trying.”
Little added: “After more than twenty years of friendship, you’d think we’d know everything about each other by now, but series three might prove otherwise! I’m really looking forward to seeing what we discover, and what we wish we’d never uncovered.”
Launching in 2024, there have been 10 episodes of Will & Ralf Should Know Better across two series on U&Dave, with the most recent airing in March.

The new series is directed by Tommy Forbes (Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back, The Emily Atack Show), with Sheila Risk (Joel & Nish Vs The World, Jon Richardson: How To Survive The End Of The World), returning to produce for Afro-Mic Productions and Our Kid Productions, the company set up by the show’s executive producer Alison Foster.
The latest episodes were commissioned for UKTV by commissioning executive Jason Dawson and Helen Nightingale, head of factual and factual entertainment, with Dawson saying: “We’re thrilled to be bringing back one of Britain’s most beloved friendships for more hilarious and life affirming escapades.
“Will and Ralf continue to delight our audiences with their full-hearted and laughter packed interrogation of how to live a better life, and their willingness to scale new heights emotionally – and sometimes literally! – means we’re in for another belter of a series.”
The series was ordered for U&Dave by Gerald Casey, director of programming, unscripted, and Hilary Rosen, director of commissioning.
Foster said: “It’s an absolute privilege to be back on the road with Will and Ralf. In this series, they’re pushing themselves out of their middle-aged comfort zones with even more poignant, thought-provoking and personally-challenging adventures.
“Expect plenty more of their trademark shrieking, laughing, joking and winding each other up, alongside the emotional honesty that makes theirs such a special friendship.”
As BCG reported last week, Mellor is publishing his autobiography, Where There’s A Will, in November.
Meanwhile, Little stars alongside Alexandra Roach, Amanda Abbington and Simon Pegg in Channel 4‘s upcoming mystery thriller Hunting Alice Bell, written by David Baddiel, Guardian film critic Peter Bradshaw, Rev. producer Polly Buckle and Kate Verghese, whose writing credits include My Lady Jane.
