Brad Pitt has long been known to do strange things to normal people; that much is true in pretty much all walks of life, with the Hollywood star’s good looks and better charisma placing him at the top of most celebrity crush lists for the best part of three decades now.
A big part of his appeal lies in the consideration he seems to put into life choices, whether it’s the acting roles he decides to play (The F1 Movie was a fun one, btw) to the watches he rocks on the daily.
This weekend, as has become a bit of a tradition, Pitt was spotted watching the business end of a tennis Grand Slam – with something special on his wrist. A few years ago, it was the 2023 Wimbledon final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic where him and his wrist candy caused a stir, and arguably a full scale renaissance. Back then, he rocked a vintage Vacheron Constantin 222 from 1977, the sight of which the watch world simply wasn’t ready for. Watch lovers consequentially fell over themselves in full approve of his grail, and within 24 months the Swiss watchmaker (one of the Holy Trinity) unveiled new versions of this beloved integrated sports watch.
This time around the main event was the Ladies Final between qualifier Maya Chwalińska and 19-year-old Mirra Andreeva, but the biggest cheers (online at least) were reserved for Pitt’s new Vacheron Constantin. While clapping game points, he gave us ample opportunities to clock he was wearing the latest 39.5mm Overseas Ultra-Thin that dropped at Watches and Wonders in April. The thinness defies belief but it’s the platinum case and salmon dial combination that have most people in love – including Mr Pitt. Much like the return of the 222, this watch has been long in the making; Vacheron’s watchmakers have been developing it for the best part of seven years. If you’re aiming for 80 hours of power reserve inside a watch that’s only 7.35mm thick, patience is the name of the game because a new movement is required (in this case the self-winding Cal 2550).
While the new Overseas Dual Time Cardinal Points collection got most of the attention in April when Vacheron announced its 2026 collection, I do remember putting this watch on and thinking it’s rather otherworldly; a limited edition £150k+ grail you immediately appreciate is going to be largely unattainable to mere mortals like me, but perfect for someone like Pitt.

Without deeping it too much, Brad Pitt digging Vacheron Constantin watches makes a lot of sense. Few watch brands are classier, few lean into the IYKYK memo better and they are also expensive and exclusive enough to feel extremely special. The love expands beyond his wrist too; he was joined at the tennis by partner Inés de Ramón (herself a jewellery specialist), who was also wearing a VC – an Overseas in 18k pink gold with a diamond-set bezel. At 35mm, it is a dream compliment to Pitt’s piece and as matching couple watch goals goes, this is duo will be hard to top.
