The Scots presenter has said farewell to Boston as she thanks the locals for their hospitality
Lorraine Kelly has reflected on an unforgettable few days following Scotland’s World Cup 2026 adventure. The Scottish broadcaster shared a heartfelt farewell to Boston after joining thousands of Tartan Army supporters in the United States.
The ITV presenter was among the masses of Scotland fans who travelled across the Atlantic to soak up the atmosphere surrounding the tournament, with Boston becoming a sea of tartan as supporters descended on the Massachusetts capital.
Despite Scotland suffering disappointment on the pitch during the last game against Morocco, the trip proved to be a memorable one for Lorraine, who documented her experience on social media.
Taking to Instagram, Lorraine posted a carousel of snaps capturing some memorable moments from the trip as well as thanking Boston and its residents for the warm welcome. Alongside the images, she wrote: “Did that just happen? Thanks Boston for the best party! Best fans in the world.”
One photo showed Lorraine smiling alongside her husband Steve Smith in front of a statue sporting a traffic cone on its head, as they posed for a selfie. Another featured the presenter wearing a blue tartan dress while proudly posing with a Scotland flag draped around her shoulders.
A third image showed Lorraine holding onto the hands of a statue of former Boston mayor Kevin Hagan White – which the Tartan Army definitely put a cone on. And the fourth photo offered fans a glimpse into some behind the scenes action as she was interviewed by BBC Sport during the tournament.
Many fans were quick to take to the comments to show Lorraine some love, with one comment reading: “Great photos, looks like you had a fabulous time.”
While another wrote: “All looked great and you look fab. Love that little dress,” alongside a red heart and Scotland flag emoji. A third user simply stated: “Looking fabulous.”

The 66-year-old flew to the United States last Wednesday, June 17, immediately after finishing her ITV presenting duties, to join Scotland supporters who had descended on Boston ahead of the nation’s second group-stage fixture.
Before Scotland took to the pitch on Friday, June 19, Lorraine admitted her nerves were “shredded” as she watched from the stands alongside fellow fans. Unfortunately for Scotland supporters, the match ended in disappointment after Morocco secured an early goal and held on for victory.
Although it is unclear if Lorraine and hubby Steve are heading to Miami for Scotland’s next group stage match against Brazil on Wednesday, June 24, as the Scots presenter is currently in the middle of a promotional tour for her latest book, The Island Secret.
However, her next scheduled appearance is not until June 26 in Dundee, meaning there is still a possibility she could make it to Miami Stadium to cheer on Steve Clarke’s side.
