I went there about two weeks ago and [the doctor] tried giving me a steroid shot injection in my lower back, which wasn\u2019t the best idea because I have been in excruciating pain ever since,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cTeen Mom\u201d alum Jenelle Evans sobbed as she revealed a rare neurological condition has left her in \u201cexcruciating pain\u201d and unable to walk. <span class=\"credit\">Instagram\/j_evans1219<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>In an emotional video Tuesday, she discussed her complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) diagnosis. <span class=\"credit\">Instagram\/j_evans1219<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Evans said she went to the hospital over the weekend after she began experiencing extreme lower back pain, middle back pain, and neck pain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am literally in pain from the base of my skull to my tailbone and it is every single day,\u201d she admitted. <\/p>\n<p>CRPS is a form of chronic pain that usually affects an arm or a leg. It\u00a0typically develops after an injury, a surgery, a stroke or a heart attack, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/crps-complex-regional-pain-syndrome\/symptoms-causes\/syc-20371151\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">per the Mayo Clinic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The 34-year-old said that at the hospital, an MRI showed a growth of a syrinx filled with cerebrospinal fluid, from two millimeters to four millimeters, on her spine, as well as a second cyst very close to her spine.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The MTV star (pictured in June 2025) explained that she got knee surgery in April, but her pain only got worse. <span class=\"credit\">Brian Zak\/Page Six<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cI am literally in pain from the base of my skull to my tailbone and it is every single day,\u201d she tearfully admitted.  <span class=\"credit\">Brian Zak\/Page Six<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Evans also got very frustrated, as she claims she went to doctors back in 2022 and told them that she thought she had a cyst on her spine, but was \u201cignored.\u201d Now, she explained, if the syrinx grows more, it can result in paralysis and is the root of the problem of her CRPS.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI still cannot walk on my leg. It keeps flaring up. Now that my back pain is worse, it hurts to use my crutches.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Evans broke down in tears as she said that at this point she feels hopeless and just wants advice.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Evans (pictured in October 2025) also revealed that an MRI found multiple cysts on and near her spine. <span class=\"credit\">James Keivom<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Evans (pictured with her eldest son, Jace) explained that the cysts have caused the CRPS and can also cause paralysis if they continue to grow. <span class=\"credit\">Insagam\/j_evans1219<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s only so much I can do but like go outside and come back in, and it\u2019s really getting to me,\u201d she tearfully confessed. \u201cIf I try to drive somewhere, then I have to get out and use my crutches and that\u2019s hard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just want to be better,\u201d she pleaded through tears. \u201cThis is probably the hardest thing I\u2019ve ever been through in my life because I always get better, and I\u2019m just not.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The reality star is no stranger to health problems.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cI still cannot walk on my leg. Now that my back pain is worse, it hurts to use my crutches.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">j_evans1219\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cThere\u2019s only so much I can do but like go outside and come back in, and it\u2019s really getting to me,\u201d she confessed. <span class=\"credit\">Jenelle Evans\/TikTok<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In March 2022, she was rushed to the hospital and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2022\/03\/25\/jenelle-evans-hospitalized-with-possible-autoimmune-disorder\/\">suspected to have a chronic autoimmune disorder<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, the \u201cTeen Mom 2\u201d alum revealed that she \u201cwas in the hospital all day for chest pain\u201d and asked her nearly 3 million followers to \u201cplease just send prayers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In another post, she explained that her blood results showed that she most likely suffers from myasthenia gravis, aka \u201cMG\u201d \u2014 \u201ca chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disorder that is characterized by fluctuating weakness of the voluntary muscle groups,\u201d according to the\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/myasthenia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Evans was previously diagnosed with chronic autoimmune disorder myasthenia gravis, aka \u201cMG,\u201d in March 2024. <span class=\"credit\">Insagam\/j_evans1219<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Earlier that same month, Evans (pictured with ex Nathan Griffith on \u201cTeen Mom\u201d) was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. <span class=\"credit\">MTV<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Earlier that month, she revealed she had been\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2022\/03\/15\/teen-mom-alum-jenelle-evans-diagnosed-with-fibromyalgia\/\">diagnosed with fibromyalgia<\/a>, a condition that causes widespread pain, fatigue and distress, according to the\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/arthritis\/basics\/fibromyalgia.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor as long as I can remember, I would get extremely bad tension headaches and full body aches \u2014 like I had the flu, but was not sick,\u201d she\u00a0told E! News.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy entire body gets in so much pain and sometimes I lay in bed and cry.
