\n\tGrammy-nominated artist Vic Mensa<\/a> is embarking on a special four-city tour <\/a>on behalf of his solo career-launching debut mixtape, Innanetape. <\/em>The celebratory series of intimate shows will begin in London on Oct. 12 and then make its way to Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. And just ahead of this run, Innanetape<\/em> <\/em>will become available across streaming platforms<\/a> for the first time on Sept. 30.<\/p>\n

\n\tMensa, the former frontman for Chicago band Kids These Days, was 19 years old when Innanetape<\/em><\/em> was released in 2013. The project\u2019s m\u00e9lange of hip-hop, jazz, soul, electronic influences and live instrumentation laid the framework for a diverse array of collaborators that included Chance The Rapper, Ab-Soul, BJ The Chicago Kid, Rockie Fresh, Thundercat and Jesse Boykins III. Joining Mensa on the production side were Boi-1da, Hit-Boy, DJ Dahi and Michael Uzowuru.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to the streaming release and four-city run, Mensa will be launching a dedicated digital archive. It will feature new merchandise, tour updates, exclusive content and special releases related to Innanetape<\/em>\u2018s return.<\/p>\n

\n\tMensa\u2019s discography includes 2017\u2019s The Autobiography<\/em>, 2023\u2019s Victor <\/em>and the 2025 EP Sundiata<\/em>, his first fully independent release. In addition to his music career, Mensa has segued into acting, appearing on The Chi<\/em> and Bel-Air<\/em>. The founder of 93 Boyz, Illinois\u2019 first Black-owned cannabis brand, Mensa also hosts his Webby-winning Orange Tree Series<\/em> on Instagram.<\/p>\n
