\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Claire Danes<\/strong><\/a> is sharing her real opinion roles that require extreme transformations.<\/p>\n The 47-year-old actress chatted with Half Man<\/em> star Richard Gadd<\/strong><\/a><\/strong>, 37, for CNN <\/em>and Variety\u2019s Actors on Actors<\/em> series (via Us Weekly<\/a><\/em>), revealing that she actually resents roles like that, at least at first.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know if it\u2019s ever been necessary for me to transform in such an extreme way,\u201d Claire<\/strong> said. \u201cSome roles are more remote than others, and I do have to apply myself with a bit more rigor in putting them together. Those are the most rewarding, really \u2014 high risk, high-reward.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cI resent them initially and then I\u2019m so grateful and I find the most freedom within them. Sometimes it\u2019s quite stressful to play somebody who is super familiar, who you overlap with.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Claire<\/strong> was there to promote and discuss her recent Netflix show The Beast in Me<\/em>, in which she played a grieving mother. <\/p>\n Richard<\/strong> had his own take on the transformation process as he gained about 90 pounds for his role in the HBO series Half Man<\/em>, a follow-up to the hugely successful Baby Reindeer<\/em>. He compared his characters from both in conversation with Claire<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cDonny Dunn was like 68.8 kilograms [151 pounds]. Ruben at my heaviest was 110 [242 pounds]. I wanted it to be real, so a lot of it was putting a lot of fat on top of the muscles. It\u2019s quite helpful, because as the character, you feel physically imposing, and Jamie Bell<\/strong>\u2019s very petite,\u201d he said. Jamie<\/strong> is his Half Man<\/em> co-star.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I was acting with him, I could almost ingest him, I was so much bigger than him. It helped in that respect. I like that because \u2014 I don\u2019t know about you.
