Songs From A Valley Girl<\/em> marks Patterson\u2019s first release with Secretly Canadian, following her 2025 debut LP The Hermit<\/em>, released by the Ozella’s Child label. Recorded Patterson Watch the performance of “Cinderella” below. <\/p>\n
\n The new EP draws its name from her experience growing up in the San
\nFernando Valley. \u201cThere\u2019s a line right where Burbank starts and trickles
\n into the valley, and things shift and start to sprawl,\u201d Patterson says.
\n \u201cThis batch of music in particular feels like Sherman Oaks meets Van
\nNuys. That’s what this project feels like. It feels so inviting.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n with producers including Eric Van Thyne, John Debold, Henry Kwapis, and Kali Flanagan, as well as Mulherin, the five-track record is described by
\nPatterson as \u201cexactly what I meant to say.\u201d She adds: \u201cI felt like I
\nbelieved in myself. I had a lot of faith. I was like, if I’m gonna make
\nthis EP, it’s gonna be exactly what I meant to say.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n recently completed a US tour supporting Searows. She is scheduled to
\nplay End of the Road Festival, Pitchfork Paris, and Pitchfork London
\nlater this year, as well as open for Sharon Van Etten and Kevin Morby at
\n Secretly Group\u2019s \u2018What Comes After The Blues\u2019 showcase in Bloomington,
