Gin Blossoms<\/strong><\/a> stopped by Good Morning America<\/em> and performed two classic cuts: \u201cHey Jealousy\u201d from 1992\u2019s New Miserable Experience<\/em> and \u201cFollow You Down\u201d from 1996\u2019s Congratulations I\u2019m Sorry<\/em>.<\/p>\n New Miserable Experience<\/em> has sold over five million albums and was a staple on the charts for almost three years. Additionally, the album produced five hit singles, including the aforementioned \u201cHey Jealousy,\u201d plus \u201cFollow You Down\u201d and \u201cFound Out About You.\u201d<\/p>\n A few years back, lead vocalist Robin Wilson reflected on the anniversary of the album when the band announced a 30th anniversary tour in support of the release. Titled the \u201cCelebrating 30 Miserable Years\u201d tour, they performed the 1992 album in its entirety. Wilson said: \u201cIt was hard to make NME<\/em>, but we knew it was special. It\u2019s humbling that it still resonates and we still have jobs in the music biz.\u201d Guitarist Jesse Valenzuela added, \u201cIt\u2019s funny how time slips away. We are still so proud that even after all these years the album still resonates with fans.\u201d\n<\/p>\n As for Congratulations I\u2019m Sorry<\/em>, Gin Blossoms are celebrating 30 years of that album this year. The title was inspired by the wishes the band would receive from fans and listeners who reacted to the multi-platinum success of New Miserable Experience<\/em> and the tragic death of the band\u2019s Doug Hopkins, who died in between the two albums.\n<\/p>\n
