In the wake of his death, Tay Keith\u2019s family have shared a moving tribute to him, saying his legacy would \u201clive on through the music he created\u201d.<\/p>\n
Keith, known for being the producer of Travis Scott<\/a>\u2018s \u2018Sicko Mode\u2019, died on Thursday (June 19) aged 29<\/a>.<\/p>\n The\u00a0Grammy<\/a>-nominee, who has also worked with the likes of\u00a0Drake<\/a>,\u00a0Eminem<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Beyonc\u00e9<\/a>, was found dead in his apartment in Nashville, Tennessee.<\/p>\n Nashville police officers discovered Keith\u2019s body after performing a welfare check. They have confirmed that\u00a0\u201cno foul play is suspected\u201d in his death, as\u00a0BBC News<\/em><\/a>\u00a0reports.<\/p>\n A cause of death has not yet been disclosed, but an autopsy is being conducted.<\/p>\n Now, his family have issued a statement about the late producer. \u201cIt is with profound sadness that we confirm the passing of BryTavious \u2018Tay Keith\u2019 Chambers,\u201d they said, per Billboard<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cBryTavious was a visionary producer, songwriter, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and cultural force whose work helped define the sound of a generation. From Memphis to the global stage, he shaped countless hit records and left a lasting mark on music and culture. He was deeply committed to creating opportunities for others through his company, Drumatized, supporting emerging songwriters, producers, and artists,\u201d his family said.<\/p>\n They went on to add: \u201cA proud graduate and honorary professor of Middle Tennessee State University, BryTavious remained an active alumnus, mentor, and advocate for young creatives. He was also a passionate supporter of mental health awareness and cancer-related causes in honor of his late mother.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAbove all, BryTavious was a beloved son, brother, uncle, family member, and friend,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cWhile the world knew him as Tay Keith, his family knew him as BryTavious \u2014 a source of love, strength, laughter, and guidance.
