The Princess of Wales has not confirmed whether she will attend Arthur Fery‘s Wimbledon semi-final on Friday, but royal watchers believe there’s every chance she could make another appearance at the All England Club after publicly celebrating the British star’s historic run.

Catherine, who has been patron of the All England Club since 2016, is a regular visitor during Wimbledon fortnight and traditionally presents the trophies following both the Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s Singles Finals.

While Kensington Palace has not announced whether she will be in the Royal Box for Friday’s match against Alexander Zverev, the Princess has already shown her support for Fery throughout this year’s Championships.

“A memorable day at Wimbledon,” she wrote on her official X account. “Congratulations to Arthur Fery on becoming the first British wildcard to reach the Gentlemen’s Singles semi-finals in the Open Era, a fantastic achievement that has inspired so many. Wishing you the very best for the next round.”

The Princess signed the message simply with a ‘C’, indicating she had written it personally.

Why is Arthur Fery’s Wimbledon run so significant?

Fery has become the story of Wimbledon after reaching the semi-finals as a wildcard, only the second player in the tournament’s history to do so.

The player, who grew up 10 minutes from the SW19 tournament, is also the last British singles player left in the draw following an otherwise disappointing Championships for the home contingent.

His straight-sets victory over French Open finalist and ninth seed Flavio Cobolli propelled him into the world’s top 100 for the first time and set up a semi-final showdown with Alexander Zverev.

Born in London and raised just 10 minutes from the All England Club, Fery has quickly become one of the breakout stars of Wimbledon 2026.

Which royals have attended Wimbledon this year?

The Princess of Wales is not the only royal to have supported Fery’s fairytale run.
