The ever-increasing din of city life is something that has played on the mind of Nico Elliott, co-founder of Polygon Projects, for years. That’s why he and his business partner, Adam Nicholas, a DJ and musician, have opened Polygon Portal, London’s first 360-degree listening room, right in the middle of deafening Dean Street. As well as traditional listening experiences — album playbacks at the highest quality, one-off live performances — it also boasts an impressive wellness offering, including yoga, soundbaths, and guided meditation. “There’s something about being completely enveloped in sound, with no distractions, that settles people in a way very little else does,” Elliott says. “The [wellbeing sessions] were never an add-on. It’s part of the DNA.”
