The real reason for Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo’s shocking divorce is due to the country singer’s hard lean into religion clashing with his wife’s more racy past, a new report claims.

“There is just such a conflict in what’s going on. He’s preaching this Christian way of life. She’s posing mostly naked and talking about porn and penises on her podcast,” a source told the Daily Mail on Tuesday, referencing Bunnie’s “Dumb Blonde” podcast.

“At every turn she’s just kind of embarrassing him and wrecking every PR narrative that they’re trying to create. This is the talk of the town [in Nashville],” the insider continued.

It’s no secret that the “Save Me” singer, 41, has been more vocal about his faith.

In February, he opened his Grammy acceptance speech for Best Contemporary Country Album by tearfully shouting out Jesus before crediting Bunnie, 46, for saving his life.

“First of all, Jesus, I hear you, and I’m listening, Lord. I am listening, Lord. Second of all, I want to thank my beautiful wife. I would have never changed my life without you. I would have ended up dead or in jail. I would have killed myself if it wasn’t for you and Jesus. I thank you for that,” he said at the time.

Still, one source isn’t fully convinced of the artist’s born-again Christian identity, calling it “just an act” the singer put on because “there’s so much money” in Christian music.

“He saw a lot of money in this market and told Bunnie to get it together. But she wouldn’t stay in line and it is destroying his brand,” the source told the outlet.

They continued: “She just wants to be what she is. She’s been an escort and in porn and gets her validation and audience from being in a G-string. That’s been her life but now, suddenly, he’s a preacher and she’s a preacher’s wife.”

Reps for Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

It was revealed on Monday that the “Son of a Sinner” hitmaker, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, filed for divorce from his wife on May 18 after almost a decade of marriage.

The legal documents, which were filed in Williamson County, Tennessee, cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their breakup.

Jelly Roll and Bunnie, whose real name is Alisa Andrea Carter, secretly tied the knot at a Las Vegas courthouse in August 2016 — just one year after the couple met at one of the country singer’s concerts.

They married the same night that Jelly Roll proposed. In 2023, they renewed their vows.

In the most recent update, it was reported that moving trucks were spotted outside of the estranged couple’s shared Tennessee home on Monday.

However, it remains unclear as to whose things were being removed from the premises.

The split likely comes as a shock to some considering the timing. In January, Bunnie opened up about how she and Jelly Roll were trying to have a baby via in vitro fertilization.
