Brooklyn Beckham’s ‘key ally’ from his disastrous wedding as suddenly ‘changed his tune’.
The Beckhams made headlines earlier this year after their estranged eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, shared a scathing statement about his parents. While many people were divided over the claims, it seems like one of Brooklyn’s ‘key allies’ has now switched sides.
Back in January, the 27-year-old issued a statement that claimed that his parents – Victoria and David – prioritised ‘Brand Beckham’ and that Victoria tried to create a divide between himself and his wife, Nicola Peltz, at the start of their relationship.
However, one of the most notable claims was that Victoria, 52, danced “inappropriately” on him at this first wedding. In the aftermath of the statement, social media was flooded by memes of how the mother and son dance may have gone down.

Amid the speculation about whether the incident actually took place, Brooklyn was seen to find an ally in DJ Fat Tony, who had been invited to the wedding due to his close relationship with the Beckham family.
While Tony recalled the events of the first dance on TV, he was reportedly met with fury from his celebrity pals. Speaking on This Morning back in January, Tony shared what “really” went down during Brooklyn and Nicola’s nuptials in 2022.
In the interview, he recalled that the awkward moment was orchestrated by singer Marc Anthony, reports the Mirror.
He said that Nicola was seen to be visibly upset and left the room after Marc called up Brooklyn and “the most beautiful woman in the room” to the dance floor. However, he was quickly seen to shout out the former Spice Girl rather than the bride.
Tony then went on to claim that Marc allegedly told Brooklyn to put his hands on his mum’s hips. Describing the incident as a “Latin thing”, the DJ argued that the moment was “inappropriate” because of the “timing”, in which Brooklyn and Nicola expected to enjoy their first dance as a married couple.
It has been reported that David and Victoria were left furious at Tony for his recollection. However, Tony seems to have made a U-turn on his claims. In a recent interview, Tony said: “It’s always sad when there’s a rift in any family. It just so happened that I got dragged into one.
“I went on [This Morning] to change a narrative of the word ‘inappropriate’ and where it was going for Victoria, where it was going for Brooklyn. It was not a nice situation.”
He went on to add that the Beckhams “are incredible and David and Victoria brought up those kids impeccably.” While Tony seems to have changed his tune, sources claim that the flattery route has not changed David and Victoria’s upset surrounding the events.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source said: “Fat Tony was seen as one of the main witnesses against Victoria at the wedding and very pro-Brooklyn and Nicola. Now look at how he’s changed his tune. The Beckhams are furious at all of this.
“Why on earth go on and slag them off? They were always close to Tony. He was their go-to DJ, but when they went with Hale Zero [another DJ], that changed.”
“There is so much hurt and sorrow wrapped up in the fallout with Brooklyn. For someone to stir it up the way [Tony] did was awful. And now he’s come out and praised them profusely. It’s baffling.”
However, a PR expert has shared that the DJ’s U-turn may be a “bigger win” for Posh and Becks than it is for Brooklyn and Nicola, who reportedly still refuse to talk to his family.
Mayah Riaz explained: “When Fat Tony first spoke out, it appeared to validate Brooklyn’s account of events and he was seen as an independent witness to a story that had largely been based on personal claims.
“We know that public opinion is often shaped less by the original allegation and more by what happens afterwards. When someone who is perceived to be a neutral party starts rowing back and clarifying their position, or even expressing sympathy for the other side, it makes us reassess the entire narrative.”
She also argues that the “biggest strength” of Victoria and David’s position is that they have kept relatively silent about the feud while Brooklyn and Nicola have publicly aired their grievances. If this continues, she worries that the story will become “less about their concerns and more about why the feud is still being played out in public”.
