The duo seemed to make the most of their trip as they visited the Highlands, Edinburgh and spent time abroad the Royal Scotsman
Hollywood star Leslie Mann and her actress daughter Maude Apatow swapped film sets for stunning scenery as they enjoyed a luxury break exploring some of Scotland’s most iconic destinations.
Leslie, 54, has starred in a series of comedy films including Knocked Up, The Other Woman and This Is 40, while 28 year-old Maude is best known for playing Lexi Howard in HBO’s hit series Euphoria.
Sharing glipses of a stunning Scottish adventure , Maude posted a collection of snaps on Instagram alongside the caption: “I LOVE SCOTLAND.”
Among the highlights were a journey aboard the Royal Scotsman, Belmond’s luxury sleeper train, which travels from Edinburgh’s Waverley Station up through the east coast and around the Cairngorms National Park.
One of the snaps showed Maude and Leslie smiling together while they tucked into dinner in one of the train’s elegant dining carriages, while another captured the train crossing the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct.
Other photos from the 20 snap Instagram carousel showed Maude looking stunning in a green satin polka dot dress while the train looked to be stationed at Edinburgh’s Waverley Station.
Leslie seemed to enjoy her trip to Scotland, with one of the snaps showing her beaming from ear to ear while sporting black sunglasses and a cream trench coat as she walked down the Scottish streets.
Joining them on the adventure was producer and writer Delaney Buffett, with the group taking in several of Scotland’s best-known attractions.
They also stayed the extravagant Mount Stuart House on the Isle of Bute. The striking 19th-century mansion is known for its lavish interiors, grand architecture and landscaped gardens – which the actress duo seemed to make the most of.
The trip included a stop in Edinburgh, where Maude was pictured rubbing the nose of the Greyfriars Bobby fountain while wrapped up in a hooded raincoat.
The iconic statue is a favourite among tourists, who believe touching the dog’s nose brings them good luck. Although local’s don’t particularly like when visitors do this, as it ruins the colouring of the statue.
The group also wandered down Circus Lane in the capital city’s Stockbridge area, a picturesque cobbled street often described as one of Scotland’s most picturesque spots thanks to its colourful homes and floral displays.
It seems like the acting mother and daughter duo’s trip was a hit with Maude’s Instagram followers as many flocked to the comment section with compliments about their time in Scotland.
One comment read: “You will be welcomed back anytime my lass,” alongside a red heart and Scotland flag emoji.
While another stated: “Your not supposed to touch his nose. I love Scotland so much! Im glad you went 🙂 I wish we all could live there.” And a third penned: “If I saw Lesley Mann and Maude Apatow booping Greyfriar Bobby’s nose I’d simply pass away.”
