A gripping new crime thriller is heading to ITV this month, and it looks set to keep us guessing until the very end.
The Dark premieres on Sunday 12 July, with Laura Donnelly and Mark Rowley leading the cast of the six-part serial killer drama.
Ahead of its launch, ITV has released the first trailer, teasing a chilling mystery set against the dramatic backdrop of rural Scotland.

The series follows detective Monica Kennedy, played by Donnelly, after the discovery of a young man’s body in the Scottish wilderness sparks fears that a serial killer is targeting the local community.
As suspicion spreads and long-hidden secrets begin to surface, Monica finds herself locked in a dangerous race to stop the killer before more lives are lost.
But the investigation soon becomes deeply personal, with Monica forced to confront her own past as her judgement is tested and the safety of her family comes under threat. As the pressure builds, she begins to question who she can really trust.
Adapted from GR Halliday’s novel From the Shadows, The Dark has been written for television by Matt Hartley and is produced by Poison Pen Studios.
