Everything you need to know about Love Island star Lola Deal’s detective career
- Love Island’s Lola Deal has revealed the truth about her detective career after viewers questioned how she managed to get time off from such a demanding job. The 28-year-old from Kent entered the villa on day one and quickly coupled up with primary school teacher Sean Fitzgerald.
- Although she’s been on the show for five weeks, Lola’s job has continued to be a hot topic among fans. The truth is Lola used to work in the police force, but she actually left her detective role before entering the villa.
- The ITV star had struggled to find a good work-life balance while working in the force, and decided to search for new career opportunities. Speaking to OK! Magazine before starting her ITV journey, she explained: “I had the best time, I had the best team. But I think just for me and myself, I was struggling.”
- She clarified that she didn’t leave specifically for Love Island, saying: “I applied for Love Island and then with my job, it was sort of getting towards the end and I was going to start looking for other jobs.” She’s not completely ruling out a career in the crime sector, though, Lola would still consider roles with more regular hours.
