Beck has announced his new album Ride Lonesome, set for release on September 18, 2026, via Capitol Records.

The album is Beck’s first collection of all-new material since the GRAMMY-winning Hyperspace and follows the recent release of its title track, “Ride Lonesome.”

To mark the announcement, Beck has shared “In The Night,” the second track to be taken from the record. The song is accompanied by a cinematic video directed by Mikai Karl, produced by Ryan Smale and starring Denis Lavant.

Ride Lonesome sees Beck reconnecting with musicians from his original touring and recording band, including Smokey Hormel, Joey Waronker, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Roger Joseph Manning Jr. and Jason Falkner. The album was recorded in Room B at United Studios in Hollywood, with Nigel Godrich, who worked with Beck on Sea Change and Mutations, mixing the record.

Speaking about the album, Beck said: “My new album Ride Lonesome is coming out this fall. The musicians from my original touring and recording band that I recorded Sea Change, Morning Phase and Mutations with reconvened with me at my favourite studio. It had been a decade since we went in the studio and recorded Morning Phase. This time it felt like the playing and the chemistry had evolved and deepened — a sound that’s come together over the decades of working together.”

He added: “While we were revisiting a musical and physical place, it also felt like we were finding new sounds and emotional textures along the way.”

Both “Ride Lonesome” and “In The Night” point towards the atmospheric, emotionally rich territory of Beck albums such as Sea Change and Morning Phase, while marking a fresh chapter in his work with longtime collaborators.
