The pair put on a united front after Ellie followed her heart
Ellie Chadwick has reunited with her beau Finley Maddock in London much to Love Island fans’ delight. The 24-year-old from West Lothian took to Instagram on Sunday (July 19) to tease a reunion trip, asking fans: “Guess where I’m going?”
Later that evening she shared a snap of her and Finley, 23, posing for the camera as Ellie stunned in a plunge white top and matching mini skirt. The Love Island couple were not alone as they met up to film Aftersun with Maya Jama and their fellow dumped islanders.
Ellie reposted an Instagram Story showing her and Finley singing and dancing with bombshell Elicia Bailey, who walked into the villa and turned their relationship into a complicated love triangle.
They were joined by islanders Jordan Wilson and Martha Rothwell who were also dumped last week.
Fans will know that Ellie herself was not dumped as she instead decided to walk out of the villa after Finley was booted during Thursday night’s episode (July 16). The West Lothian native’s exit left fans devastated as she was undoubtedly one of this year’s most popular contestants.
Finley was voted out by the fellow islanders in a shock dumping. Ellie revealed shortly after that she had “found what she was looking for” and had no intention of staying.
After walking out, Ellie said: “When we got told about the second dumping and that we had to choose, I already kind of knew in my gut that it wasn’t going to go the way I was hoping, which was for me and Finley to stay there and continue to grow.
“There were no ifs, buts or maybes, or what ifs, or how could this play out.”
During Aftersun, Finley and Ellie were seen holding hands with many fans declaring on social media they are “my real winners.”
However, there were some awkward moments during their reunion – especially when it came to Elicia – despite their united Instagram Story earlier in the evening.
Finley and Ellie were asked if they had seen Elicia’s dad’s furious online rant about the pair that he later deleted.
In the clip, he could be heard reacting to Finley choosing Ellie over Elicia.
Pointing at the Welshman, he shouted: “Yeah you’re dead in it, you sheep-s*****g Welsh m*********r. “
Pointing to his daughter on the telly, Mark then said: “You tell him, let’s hear. You’re mad, no? I don’t want you with a m*********r sheep-s*****g anyway.”
He then turned on Ellie as he said: “Don’t even go near that Scottish b***h.”
When asked how they felt about this while sitting beside Elicia, Ellie shrugged it off as she replied: “We have seen it. I’ve been called worse.”
Finley added: “It’s no hard feelings.”
Fans praised the pair for their reaction as they applauded them for not “embarrassing” Elicia on live TV.
