A new podcast, ITOB: Inside the Owner’s Box, is offering in-depth analysis of the business side of sports, focusing on deals, trends, and ownership strategies.

The show is co-hosted by Justin Nuñez, who has held leadership roles at Goldman Sachs and TPG Capital and co-founded a professional boxing league, and Mike Valdes-Fauli, President of Chemistry Cultura and Co-Founder of LiS: Latinos in Sports.

Justin currently advises athletes on investments and sports franchises on growth and ownership, while Mike leads a marketing agency working with major brands such as Carnival, Coca-Cola, FIFA, and the NFL.

ITOB has now launched across all digital platforms and begins with a bi-weekly video podcast format.

Each episode features guest interviews and covers topics like private equity’s entry into franchise ownership, the growth of sports real estate, the cultural impact on fandom, and the influence of digital AI on the industry.

Early guests include Emilio Estefan, the first Latino franchise owner in NFL history, Josh Childress, former NBA player and founder of CrestHaven Capital, and Daniel Suarez, NASCAR’s first foreign-born winner of a Major National Cup Championship.

Justin said: “The sports industry has grown exponentially across every metric imaginable, including franchise valuations, media rights agreements, international expansion and more.”

Mike added: “We’re keenly aware the world doesn’t need another podcast, unless it delivers something fresh, informative and unexpected.”

The podcast is produced by Stay Tranquilo, a digital media company and podcast network focused on sports, travel, and wellness.

New episodes are released every other Wednesday and are available on YouTube, Apple, Spotify, and the Stay Tranquilo network.

ITOB also plans to expand into industry events, a digital newsletter, and longer-form documentary content, aiming to build intellectual property at the intersection of sports and business.
