The former Corrie star claims she has ‘never bought a drink’.
Helen Flanagan has taken to social media to hit back at online trolls who have shamed her choice of clothing while being a mum of three. Not letting the backlash impact her mood, the former Coronation Street star has taken the time to boast on social media.
Taking to Instagram yesterday (July 28), the 35-year-old uploaded a cheeky video of herself posing in the back of a car wearing a low cut top. She also takes the opportunity to laugh along with an especially chosen audio directed at mum-shamers.
The audio states: “And sometimes, the outfit is t*tty, sometimes the outfit is just breast. You understand what I’m saying?” She accompanied this with the caption: “Your a mum you shouldn’t dress like that. Never bought a drink in my life [sic].”
Many fans have shared their support in the comments section of the post, with one person writing: “Love this response just block the divs.”
While another branded the actress an “absolute babe” followed by a fire emoji. A third person also wrote: “Never stop Helen, you are the best lol!”
The I’m a Celebrity star has three children – Matilda, 11, Delilah, eight, and Charlie, five – who she shares with her ex-finance footballer Scott Sinclair.
Since becoming a mum, Helen decided to undergo breast surgery in 2023 after breastfeeding her children, reports the Sun. The procedure reportedly cost £5,000, with Helen taking pride in the results ever since.
However, while many fans have supported Helen in her display of body positivity, she has also been routinely hit by trolling online for wearing outfits that some people believe mums ‘shouldn’t wear’.
Last summer, Helen stated that she wasn’t going to let the negativity affect her despite many people branded her “embarrassing” for uploading sexy pictures onto social media.
At the time she explained that after she finished breastfeeding her youngest child, she wanted to get the breast surgery done straight away as she felt like she could “tie them in a bow”.
She added: “This was something I wanted to do for a really long time and by doing so I’ve really got my confidence back.”
Over the past four years Helen has been reentering the dating world following the breakdown of her 13 year relationship with Scott Sinclair. Looking to take a different approach to dating, Helen revealed in a recent interview that she believes that her next relationship will be with her husband.
While her previous relationship and endeavours to find love have been in the public eye, Helen insists that she now wants her relationships to remain private.
She previously said: “I think it will be the real thing. I will choose to protect it and I will keep that private. I will probably say who that person is, but I will want to protect it. I will want to keep it private.”
Helen also stated that while she may have been a little bit too honest in her book – Head and Heart: Break-ups, Breakdowns and Being Rosie – there is “no taking it back” now.
