The Whitburn star took the time to take a picture with restaurant owners.
Lewis Capaldi has been snapped after enjoying a meal at a Turkish restaurant in Glasgow. With the owners sharing that they were grateful for the singer’s appearance, they hinted that they could possibly be the 29-year-old’s “favourite” establishment.
The Whitburn star enjoyed a meal at Eda Turkish Restaurant, located on High Street in the east of the city centre. Opened back in 2019, many regulars were over the moon to see that the Someone You Loved singer had sat down in their beloved restaurant.
Sharing a picture of Lewis with the restaurant owners on social media yesterday (August 3), Eda Restaurant wrote: “If we’re good enough for @lewiscapaldi … surely we’re good enough for you?
“Not saying we’re his favourite… but we’re definitely grateful he popped in. Now the real question is… when are you coming to see what everyone’s talking about?”
Instagram users have shared their joy about the Brit Award winner spending time at the Turkish restaurant. One person wrote: “Brilliant”, along with a clapping hands emoji. This was followed by another fan who admitted: “I’m going to cry.”
A third person over on Facebook also wrote: “Mr Capaldi has excellent taste. We had a lovely meal at Eda on Saturday night.”
Meanwhile, another Scot shared their own experience at Eda’s: “We had a lovely meal for my brother and sister-in-law’s anniversary. Cannot recommend enough and will definitely be back.”
The Glasgow restaurant had been selected as a finalist for the Best Turkish Restaurant in Scotland at the fourth Turkish Restaurant and Takeaway Awards 2026.
While Eda’s didn’t take home the top prize, the owners thanked everyone who had been part of their business’ journey and that the nomination “reflects the passion, dedication and hard work of our incredible team”.
It comes after Lewis Capaldi recently received praise from his fans for hosting a free concert for hundreds of unpaid carers on Tuesday, July 28.
Exclusively held at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town, the gig was reportedly held as a thank you for the carers across the country who dedicate their time to looking after loved ones without being paid.
Organised in partnership by Carers Trust and ABLE2UK, the venue was made fully accessible to ensure that unpaid carers and those they support could comfortably attend and enjoy the first-of-its-kind event.
Following heartwarming clips of the event emerging on social media, many fans of the Scot have shared their praise and admiration.
One person wrote: “This is how EASY inclusion and accessibility is when you take the time to think about everyone not just sales.”
While another person commented: “I’ve been a huge fan of him for six years. I first started out with loving his music, but the more I saw of him and his actions it became apparent that this man has the kindest heart and that’s why I love him.”
