Alison Moyet will reissue five albums from a defining creative period in her career on limited edition heavyweight colour vinyl and deluxe 2CD formats.
Cooking Vinyl will release new editions of Hometime, Voice, The Turn, the minutes and Other on September 25. All five albums are available to pre-order now.
The reissue series follows the success of Moyet’s 2024 career-spanning reworks album Key, which earned widespread acclaim and returned her to the Top 10 album chart.
The five albums represent a rich and varied era in Moyet’s catalogue. Hometime, released in 2002, was largely co-written with long-time collaborator Pete Glenister and produced by The Insects. The album marked a major comeback, earning Gold certification and a BRIT Award nomination.
Voice, released in 2004, took Moyet in a different direction, with the singer recording an eclectic selection of songs by other composers, accompanied by a classical orchestra. Arranged and produced by Academy Award winner Anne Dudley, the album also achieved Gold certification and reached the Top 10.
The Turn, released in 2007, was co-written and produced by Pete Glenister and found Moyet moving between pop, darker textures and soaring orchestration. In 2013, the minutes saw her return to synth-pop with writer and producer Guy Sigsworth, reaching Number 5 on the album chart. Their collaboration continued on Other in 2017, a record of intelligent and adventurous electronic pop.
Each album will be released on limited edition heavyweight vinyl in a distinct colour: clear smoke and grey for Hometime, white marble for Voice, yellow and black smoke for The Turn, turquoise marble for the minutes, and red and smoke for Other. Each vinyl edition features the original album tracklisting.
The deluxe 2CD editions include additional material. Hometime, Voice and The Turn feature tracks from their previous 2015 deluxe editions. the minutes brings together Guy Sigsworth remixes, Live at Bush Hall and minutes and seconds – live, while Other is reissued alongside The Other Live Collection.
Alison Moyet’s official store will also offer a strictly limited run of 300 signed 12” prints of each album artwork.
To accompany the reissues, Moyet will reunite with host Steve Coats-Dennis for a new ten-part series of The Alison Moyet Podcast. The series will feature conversations with album collaborators Pete Glenister, The Insects, Anne Dudley and Guy Sigsworth, exploring the writing, recording, context and songs from each record.
The series launches on August 11 with the first episode focused on Hometime, with new episodes released every Tuesday through to October 13.
