A new podcast series from online radio station 80’s Heaven is set to offer listeners in-depth conversations with well known music stars from the decade.
The series, hosted by Programme Director Shaun Tilley, will feature guests every fortnight who share personal memories and career highlights from the 1980s.
The first episode will be available on all podcast platforms this Friday from 6pm, with Howard Jones as the first guest.
Howard discusses how he managed nerves during his first Top of the Pops appearance, and reveals how record company mind games inspired one of his most successful songs.
He also reflects on his performance at Live Aid, following the disappointment of not being part of Band Aid, and shares stories about his mother personally replying to fan mail even after his success in America.
Subscribers to the 80’s Heaven Mixcloud channel will have exclusive access to podcast versions that include music from each featured artist.
Future episodes will feature guests such as Holly Johnson, Matt Goss, Samantha Fox, Sinitta, Limahl, Paul Young, Kevin Rowland, Dr Robert Howard, Martyn Ware from Heaven 17, Pauline Black, Woody from Madness and others.
