The TOWIE icon has revealed she has been dealing with ‘something very upsetting’ behind the scenes
Gemma Collins has been flooded with support after opening up about a “nasty” private battle.
The popular reality star, 45, has just shared a disturbing clip from her new Sky show called Everything All At Once. The eight-part series was filmed across a year, and tracks an especially difficult period in Gemma’s life.
Viewers watch her final months with her late mum Joan, who sadly died in July after a battle with pneumonia, following several years of health issues. Gemma also opens up about her relationship with long-term partner Rami Hawash, who also reveals his personal struggles in the show.
In one chilling scene, Gemma is shown opening a hateful letter that was sent to her home as she was planning her wedding to Rami. The message reads: “You’re still here c*** face! How’s the weight loss going?”
It goes on: “Either way, you’re going to look like trash on your supposed wedding day. Hating you madly. The song ‘I always feel like somebody’s watching me’ is so apt. Hahahah.”
Reacting to the brutal message, Gemma admits: “This wasn’t what I was expecting this morning. But to be honest with you, being famous does leave you open to being a target. People think your life’s perfect, but they’re gonna watch this and realise it’s really not.”
In the caption under the clip, the reality personality confesses that she has “been receiving some truly nasty and deeply personal letters, and what makes it even more shocking is believing they may be coming from someone very close to us”.
She goes on to add: “I’ve stayed quiet because I don’t believe in reacting out of anger, but there comes a point where boundaries have to be drawn. Everything has been kept, documented and is being taken seriously.
“To anyone who thinks sending anonymous cruelty rat poison dog poo into someone’s home is acceptable, it isn’t. Words have consequences.”
Gemma then thanks the police teams who have been involved in handling the matter, although she does not reveal intimate details about the investigation.
“When something like this happens, you realise how important it is to feel protected, listened to and supported,” she added. “I’m incredibly grateful to everyone working behind the scenes.”
The post has naturally been met with kind words from supporters, with one commenting: “Keep your head up queen.”
Someone else said: “This is absolutely horrendous.. you are just incredible… keep smiling your beautiful smile .. stay strong.” While a third fan chimed in with: “This is truly shocking so sorry you have to put up with such horrendous behaviour xx.”
