Rugby’s two codes – league and union – come together for a good cause this weekend in The 745 Game.
The charity match, which raises money for Motor Neurone Disease, follows on from Leicester Tigers’ PREM Rugby opener against Saracens at Mattioli Woods Welford Road on Sunday.
Fan favourites Joe Marler, Ben Youngs and Tom Young are part of the team of rugby union legends that will take on famous faces from rugby league in a 13-a-side modified-rules exhibition match.
Just two points separated the teams last year in a high-scoring and entertaining spectacle, which raised significant sums for the Rob Burrow Discretionary Trust, 4ED Foundation, and My Name’s Doddie Foundation.
Can’t make it to Welford Road for The 745 Game? Never fear, UK fans can tune into extensive coverage of Sunday’s match.
