Just like in the show they star in, Stephen Graham and Liev Schreiber are going to be going head-to-head in the upcoming awards races.
The two actors will both be submitted as leads for their starring roles in Apple TV‘s new critically acclaimed thriller series Nocturne, Gold Derby has learned exclusively.
In the series, which just premiered Oct. 30 with the first two of its 10 episodes, Schreiber plays a former homicide detective who quit over the fallout of the case of a now-imprisoned serial killer played by Graham — but the detective’s drawn back in when one of the killer’s presumed victims mysteriously resurfaces, minus his sister. Zazie Beetz co-stars as an FBI agent who volunteers to go undercover to help solve the case.
Critics have praised the drama, which has earned an overall rating of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes, crediting Adolescence star Graham’s “wildly unnerving” performance as “what holds the show together” (Variety). Nocturne is produced by A+E Studios in association with Range Media.
