From season 4 has dropped its penultimate episode on MGM+, leaving everyone taking about the show’s eerie Man in Yellow.
Theories are flying around social media, categorised under #FROMily, as viewers put forward their theories as to his identity, and the myriad other questions lingering over the mystery drama.
From the producers of Lost, the cult favourite show takes place in a mysterious town where terrifying monsters lurk around every corner, but the long-suffering survivors find themselves unable to leave.
Army veteran and honorary sheriff Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau) is among the residents attempting to get to the bottom of what’s going on, with more mysteries to be solved in the upcoming episodes.
The delayed gratification of each reveal makes From an acquired taste, with some viewers impatient for the answers that are just out of reach, but Perrineau promises that their frustration will be rewarded.

When will From season 4 episode 9 be out on MGM+?
From season 4 episode 9, titled The Calm Before, will be released on MGM+ on Sunday 21 June 2026. It’s written by the show’s creator John Griffin and collaborator PJ Yerman.
The synopsis for the new episode reads: “The residents of town stand at a crossroads unlike any they’ve faced before as Boyd sets a daring, and dangerous, plan in motion.”
It’s worth noting the above release date is for the US only – fans in the UK are running a couple of weeks behind, but began catching up from Thursday 14 May, when the first two episodes launched on Sky One and NOW.
The latest to land in the UK was episode 6, titled The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, on Thursday 11 June 2026, with the seventh chapter to follow later this week. You can find the full US and UK schedule below.

Following the episode 1 premiere on 19 April on Amazon’s MGM+ streaming service (or within Prime Video as an extra subscription) in the US, every other episode of From season 4 will be released on the exact dates in the following schedule:

From season 4 will run for 10 episodes in total, matching the length of the show’s previous seasons, with one episode releasing every Sunday.
What is From season 4 about?
From season 4 picks up after the huge revelations of the season 3 finale, with the residents of the town pushing closer to the answers they have been chasing for years.
That search is only makes things more dangerous, as the mystery around the Man in Yellow deepens and the town’s hidden rules continue to unravel.
As new episodes from season 4 drop, we can expect more fallout to come, with Boyd and the others forced to confront not only the horrors outside after dark, but the growing sense that every answer comes at a cost.
